Who I am

Therapy Lambeth is run by Sam, a BACP-registered psychotherapist. I am the data controller for any personal information you share with me, and I am registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), reference ZB963054.

What I collect

  • If you email me: your name, email address and anything you choose to include in your message.
  • If we work together: the details you give in your client form and working agreement, and brief notes I may keep about our sessions.

Some of this may be information about your health, which I treat with particular care.

Why I use it

  • To reply to your enquiry.
  • To arrange and provide therapy, and to keep the records my professional body expects.

The lawful bases for this are taking steps at your request before we agree to work together, and then providing the service we have agreed. For health information, the basis is the provision of health care by a professional bound by confidentiality.

Who sees it

I never sell your information or share it for marketing. I discuss my work in clinical supervision, which is a requirement of my BACP membership, but I don’t share details that identify you there. I would only share information without your consent if the law requires it or if I believe there is a serious risk of harm to you or others.

Some trusted services store information on my behalf, such as my email provider and my online forms provider (Fillout).

How long I keep it

  • Enquiries that don’t lead to therapy are deleted within 6 months.
  • Client records are kept for 12 months after therapy ends, then securely deleted.

This website

This website doesn’t use cookies. It uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits anonymously and doesn’t track you across other sites. The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes basic technical data, such as IP addresses, to deliver and protect it.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information I hold about you, or object to how I use it. Email me at sam@therapylambeth.co.uk.

If you’re unhappy with how I’ve handled your information, you can complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
